Jedno z letošních čísel vědeckého časopisu Ecological Indicators je věnováno současnému stavu teorie a aplikací ekologické stopy. Zvláštní číslo vzniklo jako soubour vybraných příspěvků prezentovaných a diskutovaných na Footprint Foru 2010. Editorem čísla 16, 2012, je Prof. Simone Bastianoni (Ecodynamics Group - Universita Siena). Zvláštní číslo obsahuje 18 příspěvků, zabývajících se projekcemi ekologické stopy, mezinárodním srovnáním či aplikacemi na státy, města, produkty či rybářství.
